Indian aviation industry may post higher losses at Rs 9,500-10,500 crore this fiscal: ICRA report

The Indian aviation industry may post higher losses at Rs 9,500-10,500 crore this fiscal from an estimated Rs 5,500 crore in FY25, owing largely to the ongoing geopolitical situation and trade headwinds, ratings agency ICRA said on Thursday.

At the same time, ICRA said, it is expecting a modest increase in domestic air passenger traffic to 172-176 million in FY2026, reflecting a growth of 4-6 per cent over the previous year, lower than its earlier projections of a 7-10 per cent increase.
