India has approached Pakistani authorities to seek their consent for carrying repair works on Kaman Post Bridge, which connects the divided parts of Kashmir at Salamabad, Uri.
A top police official informed Greater Kashmir that repair work to be carried by Border Roads Organization’s GREF wing on Kaman Post Bridge which is also known as Aman Setu needs consent from Pakistani side so that the engineers can cross over to that side and carry repair work.
“Indian army is apprehensive that Pakistan forces may fire upon them while carrying the work. Therefore the work on the bridge has not been started so far, as the consent from Pakistan side is still pending.
