Hyderabad-bound IndiGo flight diverted to Mumbai after bomb threat

Hyderabad: An IndiGo flight operating from Jeddah to Hyderabad was diverted to Mumbai on Saturday morning after the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad received an email warning of explosives on board.

The message, sent by an unknown offender from his outlook.com email ID at 5.24am on Saturday to the GMR Group customer support, was forwarded to the RGIA’s Airport Predictive Operation Centre (APOC). In the email, the offender warned, “Prevent landing of IndiGo-68 at Hyderabad.
