Hoax bomb threat: Hyderabad flight diverted to Mumbai; RGIA police registers a case

HYDERABAD: An IndiGo flight from Kuwait to Hyderabad early Tuesday was diverted mid-air to Mumbai after the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Hyderabad received an email threat of a suicide-bomb attack. It turned out to be a hoax and flyers reached Hyderabad on another flight by the operator later.

RGIA police registered a case on a complaint made by GMR Airport officials. In his complaint, a representative of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), cited two messages received at 5.12am and 7.04am on Dec 2.
