Gulf Air fined for barring ex-MLA over ‘no surname’
CHENNAI: A consumer court in Chennai has fined Gulf Air Rs 1 lakh for refusing to fly a former Tamil Nadu MLA on the grounds that his passport didn’t have a surname. Nizamudeen was to be in Dubai on Feb 10, 2023. Despite holding a UAE visa, he was refused boarding at Moscow airport.
