Gujarat: Power demand declines as industry downs shutters
AHMEDABAD: Consumption of electricity across Gujarat has fallen with industrial units closing due to the state government mandated shutdown to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
Gujarat’s peak power demand has declined by around 4,600MW in the past week.
Maximum power demand on Tuesday was at 11,800MW around noon. Demand was as high as 16,447MW at the same time last Tuesday.
