Gas leakage caused morning explosion on August 15: Bengaluru police commissioner
Bengaluru: City police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said on Tuesday that leakage from a cooking gas cylinder caused the explosion inside a house at Chinnayyanapalya, Adugodi, on the morning of Aug 15, which killed three people, including two children. Meanwhile, an electric short circuit was the culprit behind the fire that broke out in a multi-storeyed commercial building at Thigalarpet in the early hours of Saturday, claiming five lives.
On the tragedy at Chinnayyanapalya, Singh said police found an empty cooking gas cylinder from the house of A Kasturi, where the explosion occurred. “Investigation revealed that the cylinder was delivered just two days prior to the incident.
