Frontier airlines flight 3546 declares emergency at JFK airport; FAA issues ground stop amid engine trouble
A ground stop was ordered at the John F Kennedy International Airport in New York City (NYC) on October 30, with an ‘aircraft emergency’ declared at the busy airport. The declaration was for Frontier Airlines Flight 3546, which landed safely at about 12:45 am at the JFK after a a reported engine malfunction.
The aircraft emergency happened shortly before landing, when the crew noticed a problem with one of the engines, as per the report by Mint. After this, the FAA declared a “ground stop” at JFK, meaning no planes could take off or land for a while.This ground stop made people worry about flight delays and possible cancellations. The FAA started an investigation to find out what exactly caused the engine issue.
