From Europe to India, IATA sounds alarm over rising GPS interference in flights

Rising incidents of flights facing GPS spoofing and jamming have become a growing concern, with pilots required to stay more alert, according to global airlines’ body IATA.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA), which represents about 360 airlines accounting for more than 80 per cent of global air traffic, said the issue has widened in recent years. Indian carriers Air India, IndiGo, Air India Express and SpiceJet are members of the grouping, PTI reported.
