Final safety checks for Mumbai Metro Line 2B’s first phase from today
Mumbai: The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) will on Wednesday commence the final inspections on Mumbai Metro Line 2B’s first phase, which comprises a 5.39km stretch from Mandale to Diamond Garden in the eastern suburbs. MMRDA officials said this will be the final inspection for the stretch to be declared safe for passenger commute.
MMRDA sources indicated the first phase, Mandale to Diamond Garden, could be opened to passengers by Sept end, subject to final report from the CMRS.
