EV spark in Nov: E3Ws surge, TVS bucks trend with sequential growth
Chennai: After a record-breaking Oct driven by festive demand, battery-electric vehicle (BEV) sales moderated in Nov — but still posted one of the strongest monthly performances of 2025. Total EV registrations crossed the two-lakh mark, making Nov the second-highest month of the calendar year, with just one month left to go. Nov also recorded year-on-year growth of 12%.
According to data from the Vahan Dashboard, total EV registrations — covering all battery-powered vehicles but excluding hybrids — touched 2.17 lakh units in Nov 2025, up from 1.93 lakh units a year ago, though lower than the 2.36 lakh units recorded in Oct 2025.
