The growth in domestic aviation traffic slowed down further in January and registered a 9% rise as compared to the same month last year, according to government data.
Indian carriers altogether ferried a total of 1.26 crore passengers, marginally higher than 1.14 crore passengers in January 2018.
The ebb in passenger traffic began in October when the growth rate dropped to 13.34% from 18.95% in September. In the following months, growth has ranged between 11% and 13%.
