Dilip Buildcon in talks to sell all 12 HAM highway projects

ET Intelligence Group: Madhya Pradesh-based construction company Dilip Buildcon, which is constructing one-fifth of India’s national highways, is in final stages of talks to sell all its Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) projects — in all 12 — in nonbinding agreements, say sources close to the development. These national highway projects are expected to fetch close to Rs 2,500 crore.

“As a company policy we do not comment on market rumours or speculation,” said a company spokesperson in response to ET’s email query.

In a HAM project, the government bears 40 per cent of a project’s cost and the remaining is borne by the company. On the other hand, in a pure construction model, the government bears the complete cost while a contractor carries out the construction.
