Delhi to unveil revamped EV policy with subsidies, scrappage benefits and local charging network

The Delhi government will roll out a revamped Electric Vehicle (EV) policy from the next financial year, with a thrust on financial incentives, scrappage of old vehicles and neighbourhood-level charging facilities, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Saturday.

The proposed framework is aimed at accelerating the shift to cleaner mobility while cutting vehicular emissions in the national capital. According to Gupta, the policy will also seek to establish Delhi as a leading centre for electric mobility in India.
