Delhi Airport faces major delays as ATC glitch disrupts over 100 flights; AAI says tech teams working to restore system

Flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were disrupted on Friday after a technical fault in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS), which facilitates air traffic control (ATC) data exchange. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) confirmed that controllers had to manually process flight plans due to the malfunction, resulting in delays across several scheduled operations.

According to an advisory issued by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), efforts are underway to restore normal operations.
