MUMBAI: Hoteliers in the city are happy with the price of commercial LPG cylinders dropping by nearly 9% from this month. This will bring down the operational costs to a huge extent, sources said.
From this month, the LPG price has reduced in Mumbai from Rs 1,980 for a 19kg commercial cylinder to Rs 1,808.50 per cylinder — a huge drop of Rs 171.50 per cylinder. This is the second big drop in price in two months. On April 1, the price for commercial cylinders had reduced by Rs 91.50.
There is, however, no change in prices of domestic cylinders which cost Rs 1,102.50 per cylinder and are pinching the pockets of the common man.
