Coimbatore installs solar panels in 6k households, tops in TN
COIMBATORE: As part of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the Coimbatore area of Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) plans to install rooftop solar panels on 30,000 houses by March 2027.
“In Tamil Nadu, we aim to cover 1.8 lakh houses by March 2027. The Coimbatore region has a target of 30,000 households. Since February 2024, we have covered around 36,000 houses across the state and secured 6,000 connections in the region, making it the top in the state.
