CMRL gets 2,126cr to link Parandur airport

Chennai: To ensure connectivity between the city and the proposed greenfield airport at Parandur, for which land acquisition is yet to be completed, state govt has sanctioned 2,126 crore with administrative approval to carry out the preparatory work for the metro rail connectivity up to Sunguvarchatram in the first phase.

In a GO, state govt has given a breakdown of expenditure for the preparatory work— 1,836 crore has been allocated for land acquisition, and 252 crore has been allocated for preliminary civil work.
