Clean power purchase obligations, tech use for grid integration priority, says ministry
New Delhi: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy said on Wednesday the enforcement of renewable power purchase obligation by states and distribution companies, upgrading the transmission lines and the use of technology for grid integration are its top priorities before calling bids for large-scale renewable energy projects.
More than 40 GW of awarded renewable projects are currently in advanced stages of securing power purchase agreements, power sale agreements, or transmission connectivity, reflecting a pipeline of committed investment, it said.
