CESC eyes EV adoption, starts with e-scooters

Kolkata: CESC officials and supervisors will gradually shift to electric vehicles (EV) as part of the company’s efforts to transform into an environment-friendly company.
The company has tied up with an e-bike rental aggregator for a pilot project in which two e-bikes will be used by officials at its Princep Street office. Thereafter, two bikes each will be made available to officials at CESC offices in Bhowanipore and Park Circus.
CESC had earlier taken two e-cars from Mahindra & Mahindra for in-house use.
