NEW DELHI: The Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) report on the Rafale deal is set to be tabled in Parliament on Wednesday, even as the purchase of the fighter jet was mired in fresh controversy. The financial audit report was tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday and listed in the day’s business in the Lok Sabha but its report on the Rafale deal is yet to be tabled in Parliament.
Meanwhile, the war of words continued on Tuesday between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“By leaking information on the Rafale memorandum of understanding in advance to Anil Ambani, the Prime Minister has broken the Official Secrets Act and compromised national security, opening himself up to criminal prosecution,” alleged Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
