Cabinet okays BEST plan to seek 3.4k cr from Centre to upgrade its power infra
Mumbai: The state cabinet has green-flagged the submission of BEST’s demand for approximately Rs 3,400 crore from the Centre to upgrade and modernise its infrastructure to reduce distribution and commercial losses and enhance supply efficiency.
“The cabinet has decided to recommend submission of the detailed project report worth Rs 3,346.29 crore presented by BEST undertaking to the central govt’s Monitoring Committee through the nodal agency, Power Finance Corporation (PFC), of this scheme,” stated a govt resolution (GR) passed by the cabinet during its recent meeting.
