Cabinet nod for 3rd discom, massive renewable push in 10-yr power roadmap

Hyderabad: Industries and IT minister D Sridhar Babu on Tuesday made it clear that the state govt has no proposal to increase power tariffs and that no distribution company has submitted any request seeking a tariff revision. He said the Congress govt has not increased any tax or tariff since coming to power.

He was addressing the media after the cabinet meeting, which cleared a set of major decisions aimed at strengthening Telangana’s power sector over the next decade, keeping in view the sharp rise in demand and the shift towards renewable energy.
