Cabinet approves Bhubaneswar Bypass in Odisha at an investment of Rs 8,300 core

The union cabinet on Tuesday gave its go ahead to the six-lane access-controlled Bhubaneswar Bypass in Odisha under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM) at a total capital cost of Rs 8307.74 crore.
The capital cost of the 110.87 km long capital region ring road includes the land acquisition cost of Rs 1029.43 crore and the civil cost of Rs 4686.74 crore.
“The project will provide significant benefit to Odisha and other eastern states by diverting heavy commercial traffic away from Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khordha cities,” a government statement said.
