BJP to raise power tariff hike in Assembly

The BJP would raise issues of electricity tariff hike, “manmade” floods, Bagala Dharmashala land scam, Covid-19 mismanagement, migrant workers’ problems, new Odisha Universities’ Act, among others, in the Monsoon Session of the Assembly beginning September 29.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the BJP Legislature Party held through videoconferencing under the chairmanship of party’s State president Samir Mohanty on Saturday. Leader of Opposition Pradipta Naik, Union Ministers Dharmendar Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi, MPs Jual Oram, Suresh Pujari, KV Singh Deo, Opposition Deputy Leader Bishnu Sethi , Opposition Chief Whip Mohan Majhi and leaders Manas Mohanty, Prithviraj Harichandan, Golak Mohapatra, Rabi Naik and Dr Lekhasri Samantsinghar attended the meeting, among others.
