BHEL bags ₹6,650 crore NTPC order to build 800-MW power unit in Odisha

State-run engineering major Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has announced that it has secured an order worth ₹6,650 crore from NTPC Ltd to set up an 800-megawatt (MW) unit at the Darlipali Supercritical Thermal Power Project (STPP) Stage-II in Sundargarh district, Odisha.

In a regulatory filing on Friday, BHEL said, “BHEL has received a notification of award from NTPC Ltd for 1×800 MW Darlipali STPP, Stage-II.”
