Bengaluru’s Airport City to get CNG, PNG facility

Bengaluru: Commuters, cab drivers and airport users in Bengaluru will soon have easier access to cleaner fuel options amid the state’s increased push towards clean energy.

Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL) Tuesday inked an agreement with GAIL Gas Limited, a subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, to set up a city gas distribution (CGD) facility at Airport City. The move will help citizens get easy access to compressed natural gas (CNG) stations for taxis, buses, logistics fleet and last-mile vehicles operating around Kempegowda International Airport.
