Bengaluru-Chennai expressway will now be completed in July 2026: Gadkari
Bengaluru: The much-delayed Bengaluru-Chennai expressway, a key infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity between two major south Indian cities, is now expected to be completed by July 2026.
The Rs 15,188 crore-expressway, spanning three states, was expected to be finished by 2023 after its construction was launched in 2022. However, various delays have pushed its completion deadline by over three years. The latest delay was confirmed by Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday, in response to a query from Bengaluru central MP PC Mohan.
