Bengaluru: Opening up new avenues for collaboration , defence public sector unit BEML Ltd on Thursday entered into a partnership with US defence major Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company during the ongoing Aero India 2019. The ‘Certificate of Partnership’ was signed by BEML Chairman and Managing Director Deepak Kumar Hota and Lockheed Martin’s Vice President (Business Development), India, Dr Vivek Lall. BEML has designed and developed various ground handling and ground support equipment for the prestigious LCA ‘Tejas’ project. It also manufactures aircraft towing tractor, crash-fire tender, aero-bridges and intricate varieties of installation and removal equipment for usage in airports.
