Amid a surge in Coronavirus cases, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Friday extended the ban on scheduled international commercial passenger flight services to/from India till July 15. However, this shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and those approved by the DGCA. The scheduled international passenger flights were suspended in India on March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Releasing a circular, the DGCA said, “The competent authority has decided that scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India shall remain suspended till 2359 hrs IST of July 15, 2020.” However, the DGCA clarified that the ban will not be applicable for international cargo flights and those flights that have been approved by the DGCA.
