Ather’s revenue per scooter dips 12% as low-cost Rizta drives sales
Ather Energy, now the country’s third-largest electric two-wheeler (E2W) maker, saw its revenue per scooter fall 12% in FY25 as it shifted focus to its affordable family scooter, Rizta, which accounted for close to 60% of total sales in the previous fiscal.
Revenue per scooter of the Bengaluru-based EV firm dropped to ₹128,295 in FY25 from ₹143,333 in FY24 and ₹155,571 in FY23, according to the company’s FY25 annual report. The decline was largely due to the success of Rizta, which became the company’s bestselling model within a year of its launch and helped it overtake rivals like Ola Electric in market share.
