GUWAHATI: Public sector unit Assam Petrochemicals Limited (APL) will come up with 200 TPD (tones per day) Formalin plant at Boitamari in Bongaigaon District.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone for the project on Monday.
The project involving an approximate cost of Rs. 100 crore will be built in 163 bigha of land and the construction will be completed within a time frame of 24 months. Assam Gas Company and Oil IndiaNSE 1.46 % Limited are the stake holders of the project.
APL is investing close to Rs 1337 Crore for producing 500 tonnes per day (TPD)Methanol.
