The board of Europe’s largest aerospace group Airbus is set to meet in Delhi this week for the first time, underscoring India’s growing prominence as a global aviation and aerospace market.
Such meetings tend to happen in Europe, or in countries where the company has a large manufacturing presence. In 2018, the board met in China where Airbus has a final assembly line for the A320 family aircraft.
Airbus directors will arrive in the national capital for an annual off-site strategy session, said people aware of the development.
