Akasa gets nod for Saudi, Kuwait & Qatar routes, will have to wait for Dubai

The government has granted flying rights to low-cost carrier Akasa Air for international operations to three countries – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar. These rights are allocated based on existing bilateral agreements. Once this status is conferred, it will then seek approval from the respective countries, following their regulations. Akasa can only apply for airport slots in these nations after receiving the necessary approvals, sources told TOI.
