Aizawl joins India’s railway network as PM Modi unveils Bairabi-Sairang line in Mizoram
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Bairabi-Sairang railway line, connecting Mizoram’s capital Aizawl to India’s railway network for the first time.
Calling it a “lifeline of transformation,” he said the project will revolutionise lives, boost trade and tourism, and strengthen connectivity across the Northeast and Southeast.
