Airbus, which has bagged couple of orders at the country’s premier air show — Aero India 2019 — is also trying to leverage the event for talent acquisition.
“On February 23 and 24, the company will offer members of the public the opportunity to explore career prospects with Airbus India,”Anand E Stanley, President and Managing Director of Airbus India & South Asia, said.
The company is looking at skill sets in avionics software, aircraft system simulation and airframe structures as well as in API development, full stack development, big data, cloud and DevOps.
In India, Airbus has sought to foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit through Airbus BizLab, which will be present at the air show. Visitors will get a first glance of the opportunities that the start-up accelerator offers. Airbus BizLab will also partner with Invest India to organise the ‘Start-up Day’ at Aero India.
Show of strength
At Aero India, Airbus is planning to display its commitment to supporting the growth of India’s aviation, defence and space sectors, particularly through initiatives such as ‘Make in India’ and ‘Start-up India’.
