Air India transformation challenging but necessary, says Chandrasekaran

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran on Saturday said Air India’s ongoing transformation is not only a business project but also a “responsibility” for the Tata Group, even as the aviation sector continues to face supply chain and operational challenges.

He said the industry’s unpredictable environment is affecting the airline’s plans, especially with global supply chain issues slowing the availability of aircraft parts, infrastructure and new fleet additions. “Every plan that you have is becoming difficult because of the situations that you face in this area,” he said.
