Air India said to be scouting for new CEO to replace Campbell Wilson

The board of Air India Ltd. is scouting for a new chief executive officer to replace Campbell Wilson, two people with direct knowledge of the matter said, as the airline remains under intense scrutiny over safety lapses after a plane crash in June 2025 killed 260 people.

Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd., which acquired Air India in January 2022, was unhappy with Wilson over the airline’s performance despite effectively given a blank cheque to fix its problems, one of the people told Reuters.
