Adani Green Energy Limited on Monday announced that its operational capacity has increased by 35 per cent on-year to 10,934 MW with greenfield addition of 2,418 MW solar and 430 MW wind power plants. This, it added, includes operationalization of 2,000 MW as part of ongoing development of the 30,000 MW RE project in Khavda, Gujarat, and also greenfield addition of 418 MW in Rajasthan.
In a regulatory filing, Adani Green Energy said that the sale of energy increased by 47 per cent on-year at 21,806 mn units in FY24, backed by robust capacity addition. It further said that massive greenfield RE capacity addition of 2.8 GW demonstrated unprecedented speed and scale of execution.
The company posted consistent high solar portfolio CUF at 24.5 per cent backed by 99.7 per cent plant availability. Wind Wind portfolio CUF, Adani Green Energy said, was at 29.4 per cent with 420 bps improvement YoY backed by 95.5 per cent plant availability. And hybrid portfolio CUF stood at 40.7 per cent with 520 bps improvement YoY backed by 99.5 per cent plant availability.
For its solar portfolio, the company reported sales of energy rising by 6 per cent during FY24 backed by 2,418 MW capacity addition and high plant availability. Consistent high CUF was on the back of 10 bps improvement in plant availability, 10 bps improvement in grid availability, and lower solar irradiation. For the fourth quarter of the financial year, sales of energy was up by 7 per cent.
For its wind portfolio, Adani Green Energy recorded sales increase by 71 per cent backed by 430 MW capacity addition in Gujarat, and 420 bps improvement in CUF. Further, improved CUF performance was backed by 120 bps improvement in plant availability, 720 bps improvement in grid availability, and improved wind speed. During Q4FY24, sale of energy rose by 43 per cent.
And now for its hybrid portfolio, the company posted sales of energy rising by 194 per cent on-year during FY24 on the back of increase in effective operating capacity with majority of the capacities operationalized in the H2 FY23, and 520 bps improvement in CUF. The improved CUF performance was on account of capacities with higher CUF profile operationalized in H2FY23, 40 bps improvement in plant availability, and 60 bps improvement in grid availability. For Q4, sale of energy witnessed a rise of 32 per cent YoY.
