CHENNAI: Following the recent dip in the rating of Chennai airport’s quality of service, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has stepped up efforts to offer better service within the limitations caused by ongoing construction of a new terminal and a multilevel car park.
Concerns related to baggage delivery, flight information boards, retail shops with good pricing, Wi-Fi and toilets were some of the common grievances expressed by passengers in the Airports Council International’s Airport Service Quality survey in which the airport recorded a dip in ranking by ten points. The survey conducted among 20 AAI airports showed the ranking of Chennai airport dip from 53 in 2017 to 63 in 2018.
