A320 software update leads to flight delays

Kolkata: Multiple A320 aircraft operated by IndiGo Airlines and Air India underwent mandatory software checks and updates on Friday, leading to departure delays of 30-60 minutes at Kolkata airport but there were no cancellations or major disruptions. In all, 338 Airbus A320 family aircraft across Indian carriers required the upgrade.

Airport sources said the replacement of a flight-control software glitch in IndiGo’s A320 fleet proceeded smoothly, averting the widespread chaos feared during the peak Christmas and winter travel season.
