Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd (CVPPPL), a 3-way joint venture between NHPC Ltd (49 pc), Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation or JKSPDC (49 pc), and PTC India Ltd (2 pc), had invited the bids for the setting up of a hydro power project. The project known as Kiru HE Project, a run-of-river scheme, is proposed on river Chenab in district Kishtwar Union Territory of J&K, about 42 kms from Kishtwar.
