As on 29.11.2016, over 10,573,413 LPG consumers have voluntarily surrendered their LPGs. In addition, the government has withdrawn subsidy to 792,658 LPG customers (as on 28.11.2016) who were identified with the help of Income Tax department, who had been getting subsidy but had been reporting taxable income of over Rs 10 lakh.
