To attain this capacity, an investment of Rs 250,000-300,000 crore will be required in the power sector, it said. <\/p>\n<p>The steel sector woud require an investment of Rs 300,000-350,000 crore for a capacity addition of around 63 million tonne by FY20, while the cement sector would need Rs 120,000-160,000 crore to add 200 million tonne of capacity, it said. <\/p>\n<p>Besides, the study expects a requirement of Rs 150,000-200,000 crore for meeting the augmented capacities of other sectors. <\/p>\n<p>It said a competitive and investor-friendly framework should be put in place to incentivise private and international participation in the coal sector. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Globally, there have been examples wherein increasing private sector participation has helped the cause.
