This is a remarkable increase from about 54.02 lakh km in March 2014. The Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, shared this information in a written reply to the Lok Sabha today. <\/p>\n<p>He added, that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has received a significant boost in its budgetary allocation, from about Rs. 31,130 crore in 2013-14 to Rs. 2,76,351 crore in 2023-24.
