It will be on a voluntary basis till the financial year 2024-25 and will be mandatory thereafter. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCBG Blending Obligation (CBO) will promote production and consumption of Compressed Bio-Gas in the country,\u201d oil minister Hardeep Singh Puri said. The CBG Blending Operation shall be kept as 1%, 3%, and 4% of total CNG and PNG consumption for FY26, FY27, and FY28 respectively, as per the government.
