{"id":60882,"date":"2016-03-23T11:29:21","date_gmt":"2016-03-23T11:29:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/?p=60882"},"modified":"2016-03-23T11:29:21","modified_gmt":"2016-03-23T11:29:21","slug":"solargise-starts-commercial-operation-to-build-2-gw-plants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/solargise-starts-commercial-operation-to-build-2-gw-plants\/","title":{"rendered":"Solargise starts commercial operation, to build 2 GW plants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Solargise India Pvt Ltd today launched commercial operations and unveiled plans to develop 2 GW of solar power plants in the next four years, entailing investments of Rs 12,000 crore. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We will be invest around Rs 1,000 crore on our production facility and expect manufacturing capacity to touch 500 MW (per annum) by next year,&#8221; Solargise Executive Chairman Raj Basu said after the launch. <\/p>\n<p>Solargise, the arm of UK-based Solargise Ltd, is setting up manufacturing plants for 500 MW of Solar Photovoltaic Cells and 500 MW of third generation Solar Photovoltaic modules with patented technology. <\/p>\n<p>The state-of-the-art manufacturing plants will be set up in Dabaspet Industrial Area, Bengaluru, the company said, adding that the facility will house climate chamber for module reliability testing and Research &#038; Development centre for energy storage solutions, the first of its kind in India. <\/p>\n<p>Aligning with the National Solar Mission, Solargise intends to build over 2 GW of solar power plants across the country over the next 3-4 years. <\/p>\n<p>Solargise has selected GE as its strategic technology and EPC partner to deliver 2GW solar power projects in India over the next 3-4 years, using GE&#8217;s latest generation 1.5kV Inverters, transformers and SCADA system. <\/p>\n<p>GE&#8217;s innovative 1.5kV inverters will increase the efficiency of the plants and reduce the overall system cost for Solargise, the company said. <\/p>\n<p>Solargise India was founded by Basu in 2015. <\/p>\n<p>Members of the team have played a key role in delivery of over 1GW of operational solar power plants in the country.
