It is the country\u2019s first \u201ccable-stayed bridge\u201d for movement of trains.<\/p>\n<p>Being built at an altitude of 876m from sea level, the bridge consists of 47 sections. Forty-one out of the 47 sections have been already installed.<\/p>\n<p>The project, estimated to cost about Rs 500 crore, was awarded to Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) by Northern Railway. KRCL has entrusted the work to Mumbai-headquartered Hindustan Construction Company (HCC).
