Godda, one of the backward districts in this region, was waiting for development for years after Jharkhand became a separate state. This coal-based state-of-the-art facility, being built on about 650 acres of land acquired by the government, is changing the landscape of the region.<\/p>\n<p>The plant \u2013 with two units of 800 MW each including water pipeline and power evacuation systems \u2013 will cost about Rs 15,000 crore.
