Power minister Ramkrishna \u2018Sudin\u2019Dhavalikar launched what was described as the first solar-powered cooling unit installed on a fishing trawler, in Vasco, on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The solar-powered chiller system was installed onboard the fishing trawler \u2018Vailankanni Nakashatra\u2019 at Khariwada fishing jetty in the presence of fisheries minister Nilkanth Halarnkar, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, president of the Goa Fishing Boat Owners Association (GFBOA) Jose Philip D\u2019Souza and other officials of the fisheries department.<\/p>\n
Dhavalikar has assured the fishing community to resolve the subsidy issue.. \u201cThe state government has placed the issue before the Union ministry of power and it will be resolved at the earliest,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The minister also said that the underground cabling work will begin in Vasco by March 2023. He appreciated the efforts of Vasco MLA Salkar for constantly following up on the work to resolves the town\u2019s power issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
